Ordered Matter Science Research Center, Nanchang University

About us

Founded in 2018, the Ordered Matter Science Research Center (OMSRC) of Nanchang University is an independent university-level scientific research institution with the integration of multi-disciplines, covering chemistry, physics, materials and other disciplines. Research in the OMSRC specializes in molecular ferroelectric materials, including (1) development of "Ferroelectrochemistry", guiding the targeted chemical design of molecular ferroelectrics; (2) studying the ferroelectricity, piezoelectricity, dielectricity and ferroelectric domains of crystals and thin films; (3) combining with theoretical calculation, revealing the formation mechanism of various properties; (4) exploring the application of molecular ferroelectrics.

The laboratory of OMSRC has an area of 10 thousand square meters with various experimental platforms and advanced instruments equipped for ferroelectrochemistry research. Since 2018, the research team has been engaged in molecular ferroelectric research, achieved a series of original results, published several research papers in top-level journals, and obtained several research projects approved.

The OMSRC targets the frontiers of global scientific field of molecular ferroelectric materials, and makes every effort to break through the bottleneck of molecular ferroelectric materials in devices and applications, so as to realize the industry of molecular ferroelectric materials.
